Our story

Born around a table. Built for the everyday adventurer.

Scruffy Dog Trading Co. started the same way all great ideas do—sitting around with our mates, a drink in hand, solving the world’s problems one laugh at a time. Somewhere between “another round?” and “why is good gear so hard to find?” the idea hit us:

There’s room for a brand that’s cool, rugged, functional, and
actually affordable.

Something for the in-betweeners—those of us too young to feel old and too old to pretend we’re 18. A brand with attitude, purpose, and a bit of “yeah, that’ll do nicely.”

So in 2019, we got to work. Since then, we’ve been travelling, sampling, tweaking, and testing—searching the globe for gear that earns the Scruffy Dog badge. And we’re picky. Seriously picky. Plenty of concepts never made it past the “nice try” pile, and others are on hold until they’re truly pack-worthy. Only the toughest, best-looking, most functional pieces make the cut.

What you see today is the result: a growing range of well-made, good-looking gear built for coffee runs, road trips, late nights, long days, and everything in between.
